Lightings and walks all around Greece for World Wish Day from the families and children of Make-A-Wish Greece!
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]April 29th – World Wish Day – is a milestone date for Make-A-Wish worldwide and marks the anniversary of the granting of the first wish, Chris’s wish, who, 44 years ago, became a police officer for a day. Chris served as an inspiration for the creation of the organization (you can read more here). This day is celebrated every year in 50 countries around the world in a special and spectacular way.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Make-A-Wish Greece, on April 29th, with a gathering time at 20:15, organizes the annual Walk for Wishes 2024, in Athens, Thessaloniki… and beyond! This year, at the initiative of wish families, the walk will also take place in other cities across Greece. The walks will be held at night to illuminate the Greek sky from end to end in the blue colour of Make-A-Wish with special lanterns and lighting, while wish children and their families will lead the way. With these symbolic walks, we will honour wish children who have fought a serious illness and recovered, or who continue to fight, as well as the memory of those who have lit our path.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][dt_fancy_image image_id=”56524″ onclick=”lightbox”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1712645795545{padding-top: 30px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]The walks will be held in collaboration with the Municipalities (see details below) which will light monuments or landmarks of the cities and mark the finish lines of the routes, while the progress of the walks from each city will be broadcasted live through RYTHMOS 94.9!
